High quality product, adjustable, with a variety of options for terrain variations
I was disappointed in two areas.
No. 1 - Made in China.
No. 2 - I thought they were touted as “Shock Absorber” poles. There is no shock absorbers built into the pole handle body.
I like the finger tightening adjustment of the joint height latches - and the collapsing length.
These carbon fiber trekking poles are just what I needed to trade up from my inexpensive old poles that are a bit heavy, have hard plastic grips, and are difficult to adjust and lock the length. I am a 60-something avid hiker of moderately strenuous mountain trails, with really bad ankles, and trekking poles help with longer hikes and balance, especially on stream crossings and uneven and unlevel trails. These are a MAJOR improvement; I cannot think of anything that would make them better! The cork grips are super comfortable. There is a second, lower foam grip section that I can use for specific instances, like stepping over a large tree, or steep steps up, etc. The locks on the adjustments are SO SO much better than the old twist-type locks. They are easy to use and super quick. No problem collapsing them for storage and quickly setting them up to go. The poles are very light, yet strong and plenty stiff. The straps are very soft and wide enough to be quite comfortable. Love them already! SO worth the upgrade! Also, I love the company values!
