Handy shelter or blanket when hiking

H

Every pack could use one, easy to take along

This recent purchase proved useful on it's first hike with me. It rained earlier in the day and the ground of the deep woods was still damp, but no challenge for this handy little item.It is a great ground cloth as much as a blanket. It folds up as easily as it unfolds. It would make a nice gift as well.

Amazingly durable backcountry blanket

This is one of the very best pieces of gear that I carry on every single day hike and every single backpack. I have used this same once for myself for at least 7 or 8 years and do about 20 day hikes through the year and 4-10 backpacks of 2-5 nights in the Pacific Northwest in the Olympic National Park, North Cascades National Park or the Snoqualmie National Forest and even in some desert hikes in Oregon, Utah and elsewhere).
I use this workhorse all the time! From using as a drop cloth beneath the bug net I set up when backpacking during the drier summer months when things are dusty, to an easy to use ground cloth to sit in a dry spot when Spring or Fall day hikes are happening or even to put above us when we are in snowshoes and want to cover our heads, I simply never go into the outdoors without. When needed I also simply wrap it around my as a blanket to help trap in heat and keep water out and it works remarkably well. I also keep one in the trunk of the car and have purchased this as a gift for many friends and family to keep in their cars. I know, people always say "Oh wow a ground cloth" and roll their eyes... then a month or two later they say "Man, that was a great gift". I also have given to many, many backpacking friends.
Its the best ground cloth in consideration of durability, size, weight and function on the market.
